How to fix Bafang error 23
- Switch the light off and on again from the display; power cycle
- Unplug the headlight: if the code clears, the light or its cable is at fault
- Inspect the cable and connector for water, corrosion or pinching; dry and clean
- Replace the headlight with one rated for the controller output (typically 6V, max ~1A on Bafang)
- If the code stays with the light unplugged, the controller light output is damaged: shop
