The cadence (speed) part of the torque sensor is not delivering pulses, so the controller knows how hard you push but not that the cranks are turning. Assist starts late, stutters or does not start at all.

  1. Clean, dry and re-seat the torque sensor connector; power cycle
  2. Check the cable for damage near the bottom bracket
  3. If the bottom bracket was recently serviced, check the sensor is fitted and torqued correctly
  4. Replace the torque sensor unit
