Bosch error 419: Configuration error
The combination of components fitted to the bike does not match what the system expects. It typically appears after a part has been swapped or a software update went wrong. Assistance may be limited or unavailable until the set-up is corrected.
Likely causes
- A drive unit, display or battery was replaced and not configured to the bike
- Interrupted software update
- Display from a different bike or generation fitted
- Incorrect wheel size or system settings written to the drive unit
- Corrupted configuration after a battery-contact problem during start-up
How to fix Bosch error 419
- Switch the system off, wait 10 seconds, switch on again
- If you recently swapped a display or battery, refit the original part and test
- Check the battery is seated and locked so the system starts cleanly
- If the code persists, book a dealer visit: the configuration has to be rewritten with DiagnosticTool
Warranty: If the error follows a dealer repair or update it is normally fixed free as part of that work; otherwise it is a diagnostic-time charge rather than a parts claim.
Typical cost: Typically a diagnostic session of 30-60 EUR/USD; no parts unless a wrong component has to be replaced.
