KT / Kunteng LCD error 22: Throttle abnormality

The throttle signal is out of range: pressed at power-up, stuck, shorted or disconnected. Assist is disabled until a valid idle signal is seen. Very common after rain or a crash.
Likely causes
- Throttle pressed while switching on
- Sticky or worn throttle not returning to rest
- Water in the throttle connector
- Broken throttle wire
- Throttle plugged into the wrong 3-pin socket on the KT harness (throttle and PAS sockets look alike)
How to fix KT / Kunteng LCD error 22
- Switch off, release the throttle, switch on
- Check the throttle springs back fully; clean and lubricate
- Unplug the throttle: if the error clears and PAS works, replace the throttle
- Dry and clean the connector; check the throttle is in the correct socket
- If the code stays with the throttle unplugged, the controller input is faulty: shop or new controller
