The throttle signal is out of range: pressed at power-up, stuck, shorted or disconnected. Assist is disabled until a valid idle signal is seen. Very common after rain or a crash.

  2. Check the throttle springs back fully; clean and lubricate
  3. Unplug the throttle: if the error clears and PAS works, replace the throttle
  4. Dry and clean the connector; check the throttle is in the correct socket
  5. If the code stays with the throttle unplugged, the controller input is faulty: shop or new controller
