Likely causes

How to fix Bosch error 605

  1. Stop and switch the system off
  2. Cold: bring the battery indoors and let it warm to room temperature for an hour before charging or riding
  3. Hot: move the bike into the shade and wait 20-30 minutes
  4. Restart
  5. If the code appears at normal temperatures, a dealer must check the battery sensor with DiagnosticTool
Go to a dealer if: A dealer with DiagnosticTool is needed when 605 appears at normal temperatures or on every ride.
Warranty: Bosch batteries carry a 2-year warranty (or 500 full charge cycles, whichever comes first); deep discharge from long storage is often classed as user damage.
Typical cost: Free if it is just temperature; a battery with a faulty sensor is a replacement at 500-900 EUR/USD out of warranty.
Still stuck? Take a photo of the display and show it to a local e-bike workshop. Bring the bike's system name (e.g. Bosch Performance Line CX) and the exact code; that saves diagnostic time and money.
