Yamaha PW error E7: Battery abnormality

E7 means the battery itself reports a problem such as cell voltage out of range, a temperature fault or a BMS protection trip. The system cuts assist to protect the pack. Treat this as a battery health alarm. Also shown on Giant/Liv (SyncDrive) bikes, sometimes with a leading zero (E01) or as 'Er' followed by the number on older Yamaha displays.

How to fix Yamaha PW error E7
- Let the battery rest indoors at room temperature
- Inspect the casing for dents, cracks or swelling; if present, stop and do not charge
- Try one full charge on the original charger
- Book a dealer battery diagnostic; do not keep riding on a battery that repeats E7
