How to fix Yamaha PW error E30

  1. Confirm the battery is the model your bike shipped with
  2. Try the original battery if you still have it
  3. Clean and reseat the battery, power-cycle
  4. Ask the dealer to check compatibility and pair/update the battery
Go to a dealer if: Dealer required: the diagnostic tool checks and updates battery firmware and pairing, which cannot be done from the handlebars.
Warranty: Warranty does not cover third-party batteries; a genuine battery not recognised after an update is resolved by the dealer.
Typical cost: A firmware/pairing session is cheap; a wrongly bought battery is not.
Still stuck? Take a photo of the display and show it to a local e-bike workshop. Bring the bike's system name (e.g. Bosch Performance Line CX) and the exact code; that saves diagnostic time and money.
