E025 is a battery system error reported when the battery's management electronics fail a self-check or when a dual-battery setup reports conflicting data. Assist stops. It is rare and rarely fixable at home.

- Battery management board fault
- On dual-battery bikes: one battery out of firmware sync or with a different state
- Damaged battery communication line

- Power-cycle and reseat the battery (both batteries on a dual setup)
- On dual-battery bikes, try running on one battery at a time to find which one triggers it
- Check firmware of all components is current if you have access to the E-TUBE app
- Have the dealer read the battery diagnostics
